Description

The Scepter of Ptah is a combination of the Ankh, the Djed and the Was. It is an ancient Egyptian scepter from the 4th dynasty.

The ankh, another ancient symbol, depicts eternal life. Finally the was-scepter, here with a stylized antelope head at its top, was a symbol of power, associated with gods and the pharaoh, and, in later periods, was also a symbol of dominion over the chaos that the god set represented.

The djed, also djt is one of the more ancient and commonly found symbols in ancient Egyptian religion. It is a pillar-like symbol in Egyptian hieroglyphs representing stability.

Was sceptres were used as symbols of power of dominion, and were associated with ancient Egyptian deities such as Set or Anubis as well as with the Pharaoh. Was sceptres also representthe set animal or Khnum. In later use, it was a symbol of control over the force of chaos that Set represented.

All 3 symbols together represent the electromagnetic field of the human body. The scepter was reserved to the highest priests’ healing methods.
